Cxapitro 1
1 Pauxlo kaj Timoteo, servistoj de Jesuo Kristo, al cxiuj
sanktuloj en Kristo Jesuo, kiuj estas en Filipi, kun la
episkopoj kaj diakonoj:
Paul and Timotheus, the servants of Jesus Christ, to all the
saints in Christ Jesus which are at Philippi, with the
bishops and deacons:
2 Graco al vi kaj paco estu de Dio, nia Patro, kaj de la
Sinjoro Jesuo Kristo.
Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from
the Lord Jesus Christ.
3 Mi dankas mian Dion cxe cxiu rememoro pri vi,
I thank my God upon every remembrance of you,
4 cxiam en cxiu mia pregxo por vi cxiuj farante la peton kun
gxojo,
Always in every prayer of mine for you all making request
with joy,
5 pro via partopreno en la evangelio de post la unua tago gxis
nun;
For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until
now;

vi, gxin perfektigados gxis la tago de Jesuo Kristo;
Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun
a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus
Christ:
7 kaj ja decas, ke mi tion sentu pri vi cxiuj, cxar vi havas
min en via koro, kaj vi cxiuj estas kun mi partoprenantoj en
la graco, kiel en miaj katenoj, tiel ankaux en la defendo
kaj fortigado de la evangelio.
Even as it is meet for me to think this of you all, because
I have you in my heart; inasmuch as both in my bonds, and in
the defence and confirmation of the gospel, ye all are
partakers of my grace.
8 Cxar Dio estas mia atestanto, kiel fervore mi sopiras al vi
cxiuj laux la koramo de Kristo Jesuo.
For God is my record, how greatly I long after you all in
the bowels of Jesus Christ.
9 Kaj mi pregxas, ke via amo abundu ankoraux plie kaj plie, en
scio kaj cxia sagxo,
And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more
in knowledge and in all judgment;
10 por ke vi aprobu la plej bonajn aferojn kaj estu sinceraj
kaj senofendaj gxis la tago de Kristo,
That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may
be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ.
11 plenigite de la fruktoj de justeco, kiuj estas per Jesuo
Kristo, al la gloro kaj lauxdo de Dio.
Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by
Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.
12 Sed, fratoj, mi volas certigi vin, ke miaj aferoj plie
efektivigxis por la progresado de la evangelio,
But I would ye should understand, brethren, that the things
which happened unto me have fallen out rather unto the
furtherance of the gospel;
13 tiel, ke miaj katenoj estas evidentigitaj en Kristo tra la
tuta Pretorio kaj cxie aliloke;
So that my bonds in Christ are manifest in all the palace,
and in all other places;
14 kaj la plimulto el la fratoj en la Sinjoro, pro miaj katenoj
farigxinte sentimaj, supermezure kuragxas persiste

And many of the brethren in the Lord, waxing confident by my
bonds, are much more bold to speak the word without fear.

Some indeed preach Christ even of envy and strife; and some
also of good will:

The one preach Christ of contention, not sincerely,
supposing to add affliction to my bonds:

But the other of love, knowing that I am set for the defence
of the gospel.
18 Kio do? nur tio, ke cxiamaniere, cxu pretekste aux vere, oni

What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretence,
or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice,
yea, and will rejoice.

For I know that this shall turn to my salvation through your
prayer, and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,
20 laux mia fervora atendado kaj espero, ke mi pri nenio
hontigxos, sed ke per cxia liberparolo, kiel cxiam, tiel
ankaux nun, Kristo estos glorata en mia korpo, cxu per vivo
aux per morto.
According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in
nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as
always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body,
whether it be by life, or by death.
21 Cxar cxe mi la vivado estas Kristo, kaj morti estas gajno.
For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.
22 Sed se mi vivados korpe, tio signifas pluan frukton de
laboro; kaj mi ne scias, kion elekti.
But if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labour:
yet what I shall choose I wot not.
23 Cxar ambauxflanke mi estas embarasata, havante deziron
foriri kaj esti kun Kristo, kio estas multe pli bona;
For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart,
and to be with Christ; which is far better:
24 tamen mia restado en la karno estas pli bezona por vi.
Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you.
25 Kaj tiel fidante, mi scias, ke mi restos kaj apudrestados
kun vi cxiuj, por via progreso kaj gxojo de fido;
And having this confidence, I know that I shall abide and
continue with you all for your furtherance and joy of faith;
26 por ke mi pli abunde en Kristo Jesuo gratulu min pri vi, per

That your rejoicing may be more abundant in Jesus Christ for
me by my coming to you again.
27 Sed via vivmaniero nur estu inda je la evangelio de Kristo,

pri viaj aferoj, ke vi fortike staras unuspirite,
kunbatalantaj unuanime por la fido de la evangelio,
Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of
Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent,
I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one
spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the
gospel;
28 kaj neniel timigitaj de la kontrauxuloj: kio estas al ili
certa signo de pereo, sed al vi certa signo (nepre de Dio)
pri via savigxo;
And in nothing terrified by your adversaries: which is to
them an evident token of perdition, but to you of salvation,
and that of God.
29 cxar estas al vi permesite pro Kristo, ne sole kredi al li,
sed ankaux suferi pro li;
For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only
to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake;
30 havantaj la saman bataladon, kiun vi vidis cxe mi, kaj pri
kiu vi nun auxdas, ke cxe mi gxi ankoraux ekzistas.
Having the same conflict which ye saw in me, and now hear to
be in me.
Cxapitro 2
1 Se do en Kristo ekzistas ia konsolo, ia simpatio de amo, ia
kunuleco de la Spirito, ia korfavoro kaj kompato,
If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any
comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any
bowels and mercies,
2 plenigu mian gxojon, ke vi tiel same sentu, havante la saman
amon, estante unuanimaj, sampensaj,
Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same
love, being of one accord, of one mind.
3 nenion farante malpace aux arogante, sed kun humileco
rigardante unu la alian kiel pli indan, ol li mem;
Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in
lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than
themselves.
4 ne atentu cxiu siajn proprajn aferojn, sed cxiu ankaux la
aferojn de aliaj.
Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on
the things of others.
5 Tiu sama spirito estu en vi, kiu estis ankaux en Kristo
Jesuo,
Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
6 kiu, estante en la formo de Dio, ne rigardis kiel
sxatindajxon la egalecon kun Dio
Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be
equal with God:
7 sed sin malplenigis, alprenante la formon de sklavo,
farigxante laux la bildo de homoj;
But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the
form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
8 kaj trovigxinte lauxfigure kiel homo, li sin humiligis kaj
farigxis obeema gxis morto, ecx gxis la morto per kruco.
And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and
became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
9 Pro tio do Dio tre alte superigis lin, kaj donis al li
nomon, kiu estas super cxia nomo,
Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a
name which is above every name:
10 por ke en la nomo de Jesuo klinigxu cxiu genuo, de
encxieluloj kaj surteruloj kaj subteruloj,
That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things
in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
11 kaj cxiu lango konfesu, ke Jesuo Kristo estas Sinjoro, al la
gloro de Dio, la Patro.
And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is
Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
12 Tial, miaj amatoj, kiel vi cxiam obeis, ne nur dum mia
cxeestado cxe vi, sed nun ecx pli multe dum mia forestado,
ellaboru kun timo kaj tremo vian propran savon;
Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in
my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out
your own salvation with fear and trembling.
13 cxar Dio estas Tiu, kiu elfaras en vi la volon kaj la
energion laux Sia bonvolo.
For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of
his good pleasure.
14 Cxion faru sen murmuroj kaj disputoj,
Do all things without murmurings and disputings:
15 por ke vi estu senkulpaj kaj simplaj, filoj de Dio,
neriprocxindaj, meze de perversa kaj malhonesta generacio,
inter kiuj vi brilas kiel lumiloj en la mondo,
That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God,
without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse
nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;
16 forte tenante la vorton de la vivo; por ke estu por mi io,
pri kio mi povos min gratuli en la tago de Kristo, ke mi ne
vane kuris kaj laboris.
Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the
day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured
in vain.
17 Cetere, ecx se mi estas elversxata sur la oferon kaj servon
de via fido, mi gxojas kaj kungxojas kun vi cxiuj;
Yea, and if I be offered upon the sacrifice and service of
your faith, I joy, and rejoice with you all.
18 kaj tiel same vi ankaux gxoju kaj kungxoju kun mi.
For the same cause also do ye joy, and rejoice with me.
19 Sed mi esperas en la Sinjoro Jesuo baldaux sendi al vi
Timoteon, por ke mi ankaux refresxigxu, kiam mi certigxos
pri via stato.
But I trust in the Lord Jesus to send Timotheus shortly unto
you, that I also may be of good comfort, when I know your
state.
20 Cxar mi havas neniun samsentan, kiu sincere zorgos pri via
stato.
For I have no man likeminded, who will naturally care for
your state.
21 Cxar cxiu celas siajn aferojn, ne la aferojn de Jesuo
Kristo.
For all seek their own, not the things which are Jesus
Christ's.
22 Sed vi ja konas lian provadon, ke kiel filo servas al sia
patro, tiel li servis kun mi por la evangelio.
But ye know the proof of him, that, as a son with the
father, he hath served with me in the gospel.
23 Lin do mi esperas tuj sendi, kiam mi certigxos, kio al mi
okazos,
Him therefore I hope to send presently, so soon as I shall
see how it will go with me.
24 sed mi fidas al la Sinjoro, ke mi mem ankaux venos baldaux.
But I trust in the Lord that I also myself shall come
shortly.
25 Tamen sxajnis al mi necese sendi al vi Epafroditon, mian
fraton kaj kunlaboranton kaj kunbatalanton, vian senditon
kaj helpanton por mia bezono;
Yet I supposed it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my
brother, and companion in labour, and fellowsoldier, but
your messenger, and he that ministered to my wants.
26 cxar li sopiris al vi cxiuj, kaj forte maltrankviligxis pro
tio, ke vi jam sciigxis pri lia malsano;
For he longed after you all, and was full of heaviness,
because that ye had heard that he had been sick.
27 cxar efektive li malsanis, preskaux gxis morto; sed Dio
kompatis lin, kaj ne sole lin, sed ankaux min, por ke mi ne
havu malgxojon super malgxojo.
For indeed he was sick nigh unto death: but God had mercy on
him; and not on him only, but on me also, lest I should have
sorrow upon sorrow.
28 Mi do sendis lin des pli diligente, por ke, revidante lin,
vi gxoju, kaj ke mi estu sen malgxojo.
I sent him therefore the more carefully, that, when ye see
him again, ye may rejoice, and that I may be the less
sorrowful.
29 Akceptu lin do en la Sinjoro kun plena gxojo, kaj tiajn
homojn honoru;
Receive him therefore in the Lord with all gladness; and
hold such in reputation:
30 cxar pro la laboro por Kristo li alproksimigxis al morto,
riskante sian vivon, por kompletigi tion, kio mankis cxe via
servado al mi.
Because for the work of Christ he was nigh unto death, not
regarding his life, to supply your lack of service toward
me.
Cxapitro 3
1 Fine, fratoj, gxoju en la Sinjoro. Tute ne gxenas min al vi
skribi ripete, kaj por vi tio estas sendangxeriga.
Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same
things to you, to me indeed is not grievous, but for you it
is safe.
2 Gardu vin kontraux la hundoj, gardu vin kontraux la
malbonaguloj, gardu vin kontraux la karntrancxuloj;
Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the
concision.
3 cxar ni estas la cirkumciduloj, kiuj per la Spirito de Dio
adoras, kaj nin gratulas pri Kristo Jesuo, kaj ne havas
fidon al la karno;
For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the
spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence
in the flesh.
4 kvankam mi mem povas havi fidon al la karno; se iu alia
pretendas fidi la karnon, mi ja pli efektive;
Though I might also have confidence in the flesh. If any
other man thinketh that he hath whereof he might trust in
the flesh, I more:
5 cirkumcidita la okan tagon, el la raso Izraela, el la tribo
de Benjamen, Hebreo el Hebreoj; rilate la legxon, Fariseo;
Circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the
tribe of Benjamin, an Hebrew of the Hebrews; as touching the
law, a Pharisee;
6 rilate fervoron, persekutanto de la eklezio; rilate la
justecon, kiu farigxas per la legxo, senkulpa.
Concerning zeal, persecuting the church; touching the
righteousness which is in the law, blameless.
7 Sed kio estis al mi gajno, tion mi rigardis kiel malgajnon
pro Kristo.
But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for
Christ.
8 Kaj efektive mi rigardas cxion kiel malgajnon pro la
supereco de la scio de Kristo Jesuo, mia Sinjoro, pro kiu mi
suferis malgajnon de cxio, kaj rigardas cxion kiel rubon,
por ke mi gajnu Kriston,
Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the
excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for
whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count
them but dung, that I may win Christ,
9 kaj estu trovata en li, ne havante mian justecon, kiu
devenas de la legxo, sed la justecon, kiu estas per la fido
al Kristo, la justecon, kiu devenas de Dio sur fidon;
And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness,
which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of
Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:

That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and
the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable
unto his death;

If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the
dead.

Not as though I had already attained, either were already
perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that
for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.
13 Miaj fratoj, mi ne rigardas min kiel jam ektenantan; sed nur
jene: forgesante tion, kio estas malantauxe, kaj strebante
al tio, kio estas antauxe,
Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this
one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind,
and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
14 mi min pelas al la celo, por akiri la premion de la supera
voko de Dio en Kristo Jesuo.
I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of
God in Christ Jesus.
15 Cxiuj el ni do, kiuj estas perfektaj, tiel pensu; kaj se pri
io vi pensas alie, tion ankaux Dio malkasxos al vi;
Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and
if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal
even this unto you.
16 sed cxiaokaze, laux tio, kiom ni jam atingis, ni iradu.
Nevertheless, whereto we have already attained, let us walk
by the same rule, let us mind the same thing.
17 Fratoj, estu kunimitantoj de mi; kaj observu tiujn, kiuj
tiel iradas, kiel vi havas nin kiel ekzemplon.
Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them which
walk so as ye have us for an ensample.
18 Cxar iradas multaj, pri kiuj mi ofte diris al vi, kaj nun
ecx plorante diras, ke ili estas malamikoj de la kruco de
Kristo;
(For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell
you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of
Christ:
19 ilia fino estas pereo, ilia dio estas la ventro, kaj ilia
gloro estas en ilia honto, ili atentas surterajxojn.
Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and
whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.)
20 Cxar nia burgxrajto estas en la cxielo, de kie ankaux ni
atendas Savonton, la Sinjoron Jesuo Kristo,
For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look
for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:
21 kiu denove elformos la korpon de nia humiligxo, por ke gxi
konformigxu al la korpo de lia gloro, laux la energio, per
kiu li ecx povas cxion al si submeti.
Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned
like unto his glorious body, according to the working
whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.
Cxapitro 4
1 Tial, miaj fratoj amataj kaj alsopirataj, mia gxojo kaj mia
krono, tiel staru fortike en la Sinjoro, miaj amataj.
Therefore, my brethren dearly beloved and longed for, my joy
and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my dearly beloved.
2 Mi admonas Euxodian, kaj mi admonas Sintihxen, ke ili estu
unuanimaj en la Sinjoro.
I beseech Euodias, and beseech Syntyche, that they be of the
same mind in the Lord.
3 Kaj mi petegas vin ankaux, sincera kunjugulo, helpu tiujn
virinojn, cxar ili kunlaboris kun mi en la evangelio, kune
kun Klemento kaj miaj ceteraj kunlaborantoj, kies nomoj
estas en la libro de vivo.
And I intreat thee also, true yokefellow, help those women
which laboured with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and
with other my fellowlabourers, whose names are in the book
of life.
4 Gxoju en la Sinjoro cxiam; denove mi diros: Gxoju.
Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.
5 Via mildeco estu konata al cxiuj. La Sinjoro estas
proksima.
Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at
hand.
6 Pri nenio trozorgu; sed pri cxio, per pregxo kaj peto kun
dankesprimo, viaj deziroj sciigxu al Dio.
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and
supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made
known unto God.
7 Kaj la paco de Dio, kiu superas cxian intelekton, gardos
viajn korojn kaj pensojn en Kristo Jesuo.
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall
keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
8 Fine, fratoj, kio ajn estas vera, kio ajn honesta, kio ajn
justa, kio ajn cxasta, kio ajn sxatinda, kio ajn bonfama; se
estas ia virto, se estas ia lauxdo, tion pripensu.
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever
things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever
things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever
things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if
there be any praise, think on these things.
9 Kion vi lernis kaj ricevis kaj auxdis kaj vidis en mi, tion
faru; kaj la Dio de paco estos kun vi.
Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and
heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be
with you.
10 Sed mi forte gxojas en la Sinjoro, ke vi jam nun revivigis
vian zorgon pri mi; vi ja estis zorgemaj, sed mankis al vi
oportuna tempo.
But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at the last
your care of me hath flourished again; wherein ye were also
careful, but ye lacked opportunity.
11 Tamen mi ne parolas rilate bezonon; cxar mi lernis, en kia
ajn stato mi estas, en tio esti kontenta.
Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in
whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.
12 Mi scias humiligxi, kaj mi scias ankaux esti en abundeco;
cxie kaj cxiel mi lernis la sekreton plenigxi kaj malsati,
havi abundon kaj havi mankon.
I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound:
every where and in all things I am instructed both to be
full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.
13 Mi cxion povas fari en tiu, kiu min fortikigas.
I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
14 Tamen vi bone agis, partoprenante kun mi en mia suferado.
Notwithstanding ye have well done, that ye did communicate
with my affliction.
15 Kaj vi mem, Filipianoj, ankaux scias, ke en la komenco de la
evangelio, kiam mi foriris el Makedonujo, neniu eklezio
komunikigxis kun mi rilate donadon kaj ricevadon, krom vi
solaj;
Now ye Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the
gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church
communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving, but
ye only.
16 cxar ecx en Tesaloniko vi pli ol unufoje sendis ion por mia
bezono.
For even in Thessalonica ye sent once and again unto my
necessity.
17 Mi ne deziras la donacon; sed mi deziras la frukton, kiu
plimultigxos por via profito.
Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may
abound to your account.
18 Sed mi havas cxion, kaj estas en abundeco; mi jam plenigxis,
ricevinte per Epafrodito vian senditajxon, agrablan
odorajxon, oferon akceptindan, kiu placxas al Dio.
But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received of
Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an odour
of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, wellpleasing to
God.
19 Kaj mia Dio satigos cxian vian bezonon, laux Sia ricxo en
gloro en Kristo Jesuo.
But my God shall supply all your need according to his
riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
20 Nun al nia Dio kaj Patro estu gloro por cxiam kaj eterne.
Amen.
Now unto God and our Father be glory for ever and ever.
Amen.
21 Salutu cxiun sanktulon en Kristo Jesuo. La fratoj, kiuj
estas kun mi, vin salutas.
Salute every saint in Christ Jesus. The brethren which are
with me greet you.
22 Cxiuj sanktuloj vin salutas, precipe tiuj, kiuj estas el la
domanaro de Cezaro.
All the saints salute you, chiefly they that are of Caesar's
household.
23 La graco de la Sinjoro Jesuo Kristo estu kun via spirito.
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
